The journey of Genealogy Player continues, but in a brand-new form. After months of development and listening closely to user feedback, we’ve decided to say goodbye to the standalone version of the Player.
But this isn’t the end—it’s the beginning of something even more powerful. From now on, Genealogy Player will be integrated directly into the libraries, offering a faster and more seamless musical experience.
Why this change?
The standalone version was originally designed to give everyone a first taste of the Genealogy universe. Over time, however, it became clear that composers want speed, simplicity, and zero extra steps.
By integrating the Player directly into the libraries, we’re making it possible to:
- Open & Play: no separate installations, no extra setup.
- All-in-One: download the library and the Player is already inside.
- Simplified updates: every new version arrives packaged with the library.
What does this mean for you?
- No more downloading and installing a separate app.
- Every library is now self-contained, with Genealogy Player built in.
- All the features you know remain intact, but now they’re part of a smoother workflow.
It’s a new paradigm: no longer a standalone tool to manage, but an organic instrument that evolves with your libraries.
Looking ahead
The future is about integration, fluidity, and creativity without obstacles. This evolution allows us to focus entirely on designing innovative libraries, delivering new sounds without technical distractions.
With version 1.2, a new era begins:
a Genealogy Player that no longer lives alone, but breathes within your libraries.
